How much notice are customers being provided?

We understand the importance of advanced planning. Hence, customers are being provided notice well in advance to plan for the scheduled deprecation of the product.

How will the transition process be managed?

Recognizing the uniqueness of each MITS solution, we are committed to working closely with our valued customers to ensure a smooth transition. Our team will provide support tailored to individual needs, addressing any specific nuances that may require a faster or delayed transition to the new product.

What is the goal of the transition process?

Our primary goal is to ensure the smoothest possible transition for our customers' systems.

Why is there a need for the evolution of MITS, and what has been done so far?

The Baldwin Group has been diligently modernizing our MITS offerings since April 2023. After a thorough evaluation of our current system, we recognized the necessity for a complete overhaul to sustain future software updates and enhancements. Substantial strides have already been made, and we are eager to share the developments regarding our priorities, objectives, and projected timelines.

What are the priorities in the evolution of MITS?

Our priorities are centered around Security, Client Experience, Migration, and Cost. We are committed to ensuring the security of your data, maintaining a consistent user experience, facilitating a smooth transition to the new platform, and managing costs effectively.

What advancements have been made in data security measures, and how will the client experience be maintained?

We have made significant advancements in data security and integrity measures to comprehensively protect your data. Our commitment to a consistent user experience includes maintaining familiarity in navigation, window configuration, tabbing, and overall functionality to minimize the learning curve for our clients.

How will the migration process be managed, and will there be any additional cost for it?

We are dedicated to facilitating a straightforward and mostly automated migration process, ensuring a smooth transition to the new MITS platform.

What is the projected timeline for the evolution of MITS, and when can clients expect to transition to the new platform?

While timelines are provisional, we anticipate substantial progress in 2024, a beta version release in 2025, and the initiation of the onboarding process for pioneering clients towards the end of that year. The migration of all remaining clients is expected to continue throughout 2026, with the retirement of the classic MITS client on January 1, 2027.

What support will be available during the transition period, and how will client concerns be addressed?

Dual support for both the legacy and new MITS systems will be available during the transition period. We aim to have fully transitioned all clients to the new platform by the close of 2026. Any residual concerns or issues will be our utmost priority to resolve promptly, ensuring a seamless transition into the future.
