How to Access BGI Remotely

Your BGI program (Mayor’s Court / MITS / HDIS / PTTS) is not compatible with cloud-based drives such as Google Drive or OneDrive. To effectively run the program, we recommend remote access to the desktop or laptop computer that is currently hosting the program. At The Baldwin Group, we utilize a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to create a secure "tunnel" into our network, followed by the use of Remote Desktop to connect our remote workstation to our office PC. There are various methods you can explore to achieve this:

Secure Network Access: The initial step involves accessing your network securely. If your work PC is equipped with Windows Pro (7 or 10), you can inquire with your IT professional about securely connecting to your network from home. It's advisable to seek assistance from those most knowledgeable about your network for this process.

Network Configuration

Alternative Software Options

In case you don't have Windows 10 or encounter difficulties gaining network access, there are several paid software options available, some of which offer free trials. You can explore these alternatives, keeping in mind your IT professional's preferences:

• RemotePC

• Google Remote Desktop

We recommend conducting thorough research and due diligence to select the option that best suits your needs, as we haven't used any of these packages recently and cannot endorse one over the others.
